Dr. Joel Haas is a 2023 Health Care Hero
The Rochester Business Journal has selected Dr. Joel Haas, Chief Medical Officer of iCircle Services of the Finger Lakes and Medical Director for Warrior Salute Veteran Services and CDS Monarch as a 2023 Health Care Hero in the category of Management.
Dr. Haas joined the organization in 2018 and served as the Chief Medical Officer for all of CDS Life Transitions throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, advising the health and welfare for over 14,000 individuals and 1,200 staff.
“Dr. Haas was available and provided guidance 24/7 during this time, including off-hours and weekends, triaging and advising management of steps with quarantines, isolations, program closures, and health and safety screenings. His dedication and commitment to health made a real difference in so many lives,” said Andrew Sewnauth, CEO of CDS Life Transitions.
The Rochester Business Journal created Health Care Heroes to recognize excellence, promote innovation, and honor individual’s and organization’s efforts that make a significant impact on the quality of health care in the Rochester, NY area.

All of the 2023 Health Care Heroes will be honored at a breakfast celebration on March 28, 2023.
