PRESS RELEASE: The Allentoff Institute Hosting Managed Care 101 Informational Session

Rochester, N.Y. – April 6, 2017 – The Allentoff Institute, which provides staff development and community education at CDS Life Transitions, is hosting an informational session about how people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can benefit from managed care Thursday, April 6 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at 860 Hard Rd., Webster. Debbie Litzenberger, VP of Clinical Operations for iCircle, which provides Medicaid Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) services, will lead the discussion.

“We have learned that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can benefit greatly from managed care,” CDS Life Transitions President/CEO Sankar Sewnauth said. “The services provided through managed care—Home health aides, non-emergent medical transportation and care management, to name a few—can help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities live and thrive in the community, so we are eager to share as much information with the public as we can.”

This session is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served and there will be recreational activities for children. Those interested in attending the session can RSVP by emailing [email protected] or calling 585.347.1605.

Ms. Litzenberger has her Master’s of Health Systems Administration from Roberts Wesleyan and her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Rochester. Her background includes pediatrics at Strong Hospital, Community Health Nursing and transitioning patients into Managed Care.
