Annual salute to local veterans

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC-TV) – A local organization raised funds on Thursday for those who have served our country.

The third annual “Salute: Toast to Our Veterans” was a celebration with food, wine, and beer tastings. U.S. Army veteran David Kendrick was the event’s keynote speaker.

The CDS Wolf Foundation hosted the event.

“There’s so many veterans that need so much help and they don’t know where to get it and with the recent event in California, it’s more imperative now than ever that programs live the warrior salute program are well known all across the country because you never know what conversation is gonna save that veterans and possibly other peoples lives,” army veteran David Kendrick Jr. said.

Thursday evening’s event raised more than $100,000 for a new program.
