The Wolf Foundation Golf Tournament Raises $120,000 to Support People with Developmental Disabilities and Veterans at CDS Monarch

Rochester, NY – July 28, 2015 – The Wolf Foundation hosted its 28th Annual Teeing Off for Abilities Golf Tournament Monday, July 20 at Monroe Golf Club. With support from top sponsor Relph Benefit Advisors, the funds raised help to support unfunded areas of need at CDS Monarch, as well as services provided by Warrior Salute™, which is funded entirely by community and corporate donations. The Wolf Foundation, with the assistance of many generous supporters, raised a total of $120,000.

“It is clear that The Wolf Foundation and event participants, volunteers, sponsors and staff are very dedicated to what CDS Monarch does,” Sankar Sewnauth, CDS Monarch President/CEO, said. “A lot of hard work and generosity was put into this event, and it’s great to see so much support for what we do. These funds will ensure that the people we serve will continue to receive the supports and services needed to gain their independence and live fulfilled lives. The outcome of this tournament shows that we’re not alone in giving that support.”

Over 100 golfers came out to support CDS Monarch and The Wolf Foundation. The morning started off with a flag ceremony presented by the West Webster Fire Department Color Guard, followed by the singing of America the Beautiful by Jerry Christopher and the National Anthem by CDS Monarch staff member Kim Albert.

In addition to the generous donations received, the event also featured a raffle, a silent auction and a live auction, as well as various contests on the course. Warrior Salute™ Veteran Zachary Grawe, who recently graduated, spoke at the dinner ceremony, recounting how beneficial the services provided have been for him.
