Reliant Community Credit Union Donates Funds, School Supplies to CDS Monarch for its Warrior Salute Program

WEBSTER, NY— Reliant Community Credit Union presented a check for $500, along with boxes of school and office supplies, to CDS Monarch’s Warrior Salute program on Friday, May 16, 2014.

Reliant celebrated the grand opening of its newest branch at 870 Holt Road in Webster throughout the month of April 2014, and as part of that celebration, Reliant pledged to donate $5.00 to Warrior Salute for each new member who opened a new account in Webster that month. In addition to making a monetary contribution, Reliant offered to collect items that veterans going through the Warrior Salute program might need. Because many veterans going through the program are returning to school or getting into the workforce, CDS Monarch suggested school and office supplies.

“One of the most important parts of Reliant’s name is the word ‘Community,’” remarked Deb Hellert, Reliant’s Vice President of Marketing, during the check presentation. “Reliant is committed to being a part of the communities we serve, and that means building relationships with other organizations, like CDS Monarch and its Warrior Salute program, that work so hard to serve and do great things for the community. We look forward to additional opportunities to partner with CDS Monarch.”

“We are grateful for the support that our new neighbors at Reliant Community Federal Credit Union have shown to Warrior Salute and our Veterans. Not only are they giving back to our Veterans with their donation, but through their grand opening membership drive they have also helped to educate our community about ways that they too can support Veterans who may be struggling with PTSD, a Traumatic Brain Injury or Military Sexual Trauma,” stated Sankar Sewnauth, CDS Monarch President/CEO.
